Emission Control Products
Saffil Automotive developed a family of support mats, end cone insulation and wall insulation products under the registered tradenames Ecoflex® and Ecomould. These products are now an integral part of the Unifrax emission control product portfolio.
The Ecoflex® solution is a non-intumescent (non-expanding) substrate support mat for use in catalytic converter and diesel particulate filters. The Ecoflex® manufacturing process is fully flexible and can manufacture a product to a specific basis weight to exactly meet the demands of the application.
These new products have been carefully designed to operate over the wide range of temperatures experienced in gasoline and diesel engine emission control systems.
Ecomould products are custom made parts that are moulded to a specific placeholder (like tubes, cones or pipes) and is made of high alumina Saffil Fibre. The Ecomould products have hence excellent insulation properties and facilitate quick handling on the assembly line as they are easy to apply.
