Ecoflex
Ecoflex® is the trade name for the material which is used to support substrates
in emission systems. The so called mats are used in Catalytic Converters and
Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) to hold in place and not damage the often
fragile ceramic substrate.Today, there are two major Ecoflex® products -
Ecoflex® E200 and Ecoflex® E200M.
· Ecoflex® E200 is made from Saffil
Alumina fibre (~ 97% Al2O3 / 3% SiO2)
·
Ecoflex® E200M is made from Saffil M-Fil mullite fibre (~ 80%
Al2O3 / 20% SiO2)
The high quality fibre
used to manufacture our products gives class leading high temperature
performance and outstanding long term durability.
The Ecoflex® E200 and E200M
series come as mats with an organic binder content of approximately 10-12%. Both
products are also available as a “low boardiness”, low binder version (E200LB
and E200MLB). The right product for your application depends on the systems
parameters and on the application. Generally Ecoflex® products can be used in
any application. Our enigeers will design the best possible product for your
very needs.
The Ecoflex® E200 and E200M range are available in nearly any
basis weight (800g/m² - 3000g/m²) and thus can be custom made to any application
which means we do not design the system to our mat but the mat to our customer’s
system and requirements.
